I have a nephew...if there's a subject that interests him, he will become an expert in that area.
Serious.
Just a few minutes ago, there was an exchange on facebook...and I had to use it...
"Andrea status: Abbie had to ask 10 people about a picture for her history class: what do they think it is, and why. I said, it's a picture of Hitler - reason, because his mustache, military group, and I just plain know his face. Easy. Then I raised my eyebrows at her... I told her she should ask Tyler. I bet he'd know *everything* about that picture. She said he'd probably even know the car they were riding in. So we asked.
Tyler: Oh, easy, that's Hitler and Mussolini in 1937 when they were doing their tour in Venice. They went through all these Italian cities to try to align Italy as their ally. He didn't know what car it was because they only showed half of the convertible.
HAHAHA. I knew it.
I just looked up the picture and wikipedia said the pic was June of 40. I told him Tyler, you're wrong it was 1940 - he says 'Well I'm sorry but the book I read 2 years ago said it was 1937'. HAHA
Tyler comments: I was right! LOL. I checked out a library book about Hitler's little rise to power and his interest in Mussolini's Fascist rule over Italy, so he visited Italy in '37 and that SAME picture was in there of him riding in a convertible on that tour of several cities with Mussolini. Wikipedia was obviously confused because Hitler made other trips in '39 and '40 to Italy, so it probably just took a pic from one of his visits and posted that with the caption of his 1940 visit."
Don't question Tyler's brain!
